Our Motorsports, driver Andy Seuss heading to NASCAR Xfinity Series
Seuss is a two-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion
A familiar cast of short track characters are going to try their hands at the NASCAR Xfinity Series next season.
Our Motorsports, which has previous experience in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour and ARCA Menards Series, will expand into the second-tier stock car division. The team will be based out of Statesville, North Carolina, and will field the No. 02 for its recent grassroots driver, two-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour champion Andy Seuss.
The team is owned by Massachusetts native Chris Our.
“We’re excited to be expanding to compete in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2020,” Our said in a press release. “NASCAR’s marketing platform offers an opportunity like no other for both our existing partners and potential new partners.
“We have a great group of employees at Our Motorsports, who continue to work hard to grow the team. I am looking forward to getting to Daytona in February and seeing the No. 02 on the track.”
In addition to his driver duties, Seuss will also serve as the director of operations. Seuss is the only announced driver, but the No. 02 is expected to have multiple pilots during the 2020 season. Seuss has 22 victories in the Southern Modified Tour.
He has also made 12 appearances in the ARCA Series.
“Chris Our has been a huge influence and supporter of helping to continue the dream of competing at the highest level in NASCAR,” Seuss said in the release. “He is a great guy, whose passion for motorsports has helped countless drivers over the years live their dreams to compete for wins every weekend.”
Our Motorsports will continue to field a part-time No. 02 entry across all three ARCA Racing Series divisions.
